THE WOOLSOCKPEOPLE
THE WOOLSOCK PEOPLE
The Woolsock People is an intimate photographic series created between Finland and France, following family, friendship and everyday life through a deeply personal lens.
Photographed over several years, the work reflects on belonging, memory and the quiet rituals of ordinary existence. Moving between childhood, landscape, humour, tenderness and loss, the images explore the fragile spaces where personal histories become part of a larger collective experience.
Rather than documenting events, the series observes the emotional texture of life as it unfolds — the moments that often pass unnoticed yet remain deeply embedded in memory.
The Woolsock People was edited and published by OFR Editions Paris in 2011. The book was distributed internationally and presented through bookstores and cultural institutions including Dashwood Books, New York, OFR Paris, the bookshop of Palais de Tokyo and Le Bon Marché, Paris.
